The Lotte Duty Free Family Concert is a K-culture representative event that has been hosted by Lotte Duty Free since 2006 to attract tourists and has attracted 1 million cumulative visitors. This family concert was held at the Olympic Gymnastics Stadium in Songpa-gu, Seoul for three days from the 16th to the 18th. During the performance, about 30,000 domestic customers and multinational tourists from China, Japan, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, the United States, and Europe enjoyed the family concert.

On the first day, the 16th, Korea’s top idols such as NCT Dream, Stray Kids, StayC, Espa, Kingdom, and Lee Chae-yeon appeared and presented a splendid stage. On the second day, the 17th, talented K-pop singers such as Seong Si-kyung, Gummy, Crush, Jukjae, and ITZY captivated the audience with their outstanding singing skills. Song Ga-in heated up the last day of the family concert.

In particular, about 5,000 large-scale foreign tourists from China, Japan, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East visited Korea to watch the family concert. In commemoration of the ‘2023-2024 Visit Korea Year’, Lotte Duty Free is the result of planning together with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Visit Korea Committee, and the Korea Tourism Organization to enjoy shopping and culture along with Korean tourist attractions. Lotte Group’s tourism infrastructure was also actively promoted through promotional zones and video screenings of Lotte affiliates such as Lotte Corporation, Lotte JTB, Lotte World, and Lotte Culture Works.

Tickets for this family concert were sold out faster than in previous years, receiving high attention from customers. Lotte Duty Free Shop prepared a variety of things to enjoy, such as providing customized fans as souvenirs to the audience and operating an event zone where they could receive Espa album CDs as prizes. In cooperation with the corporation Sharing Love Field, 200 people from the underprivileged were invited to the first day of the performance, adding to the meaning of sharing.

Lotte Duty Free explained that as this concert was an offline event held in about four years after Corona 19, it thoroughly prepared for visitors to enjoy the performance safely. Guide videos containing emergency evacuation routes were produced and transmitted in four languages, and ambulances and paramedics were deployed in preparation for emergencies. Bracelets to prevent missing children were distributed, and prior training was conducted so that all staff could quickly respond to emergencies.

Joo-Nam Kim, CEO of Lotte Duty Free Shop, said, “I hope that the Lotte Duty Free Shop Family Concert, which customers of various nationalities enjoyed together, will serve as a signal for the recovery of daily life and bring the duty free industry back to life.” We will contribute to the development of the tourism industry,” he said.
