Purple Kiss, ‘witch worldview’ built up with unrivaled vocals… The number of wins with dreamy charm (comprehensive) [SE ★ Field]

The dreamy beauty of the group PURPLE KISS has deepened. The attractive vocals, which can be said to be the fingerprints of Purple Kiss, became richer and the color became clearer. It is the evolution of the mysterious and dark witch worldview, which is the identity of the team.

On the afternoon of the 15th, at the Millennium Memorial Hall of Konkuk University Seoul Campus, Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, Purple Kiss (Na Go-eun, Doshi, Ire, Yuki, Chae-in, Suan) held a showcase to celebrate the release of their 5th mini-album ‘Cabin Fever’.

Purple Kiss is back with an expanded ‘witch worldview’. This album is the first in 7 months since the 4th mini album ‘Geekyland’, which told the stories of confident geeks. The album’s name, “Cabin Fever,” means “sick,” and contains a message to find freedom together with those who experience a life controlled by an unexpected pandemic situation.

Suan said, “The atmosphere of the new album title is like an extension of the debut song ‘Ponzona’. We worked hard to show high-quality performances and music, so please look forward to it.”

The title song ‘Sweet Juice’ is a groovy yet dreamy track with pluck sounds added. It contains the story of getting out of the bondage that has been confined for a long time and finding freedom by dancing as we are, you and me. Yuki and Na Go-eun participated in writing the lyrics. Na Go-eun said, “At first, I thought the guide gave me a luxurious and dreamy feeling. The texture is similar to the previous song, but there is a new part,” he said. “It felt mysterious and like a witch. I worked while imagining that part.”

Purple Kiss emphasized their new charm. Suan said, “Previous titles had a lot of songs with strong personalities, but ‘Sweet Juice’ is plain and has hidden techniques that show the members’ vocal skills. According to the concept, our harmony is piled up on a minimal track.”

The music video is set in the witches’ hotel. Purple Kiss said, “Anyone can visit the hotel easily, but they don’t know who they are. That kind of unfamiliarity goes well with ‘Sweet Juice’.” He then explained the concept, “The charm of the luxurious and antique stage also matched well with the space of a hotel.”
At a time when 4th generation girl groups are active, Purple Kiss’ outstanding ability is their strongest point. Yuki said, “The members actively participate in songwriting for each album. Each of the members is multi-talented, so when 6 of us get together, what we can show is multiplied by 6.” Chaein said, “All the members enjoy not only being able to perform live. We are happy to be able to give energy when we are on stage,” he emphasized. “Our strength is that our energy is different when we are performing live.”

The unique concept of Purple Kiss is a strength that can be confident. Ire said, “The concept of zombies and witches is our unique point of differentiation. It’s a rare concept, so I practice with great care, including performance, vocals, and facial expressions so that the public can easily accept it.” Na Go-eun said, “Through this activity, we have expanded the world of witches.” This time, I want to hear the word ‘fourth generation ambush’.” “Since we are trying a different concept, I want you to think of us as a group that gives a fresh shock in a good way. It would be great if we won first place on a music show.”

Meanwhile, ‘Cabin Fever’ will be released on various music sites at 6 pm on the same day.
